Rusty,
It sounds as though you had a fun time racking up a very nice score. Some very nice DX in there, too.
And my congratulations also to Pete, who, once again, demonstrated his mastery of the 10M contest. Nearly 1,000 QSOs running low power. Way to go, Pete.
73,
George K2DM

OMG what a whacky and fun contest. Congrats to Pete for his amazing effort.
Things began slowly, but by 20:30 local the band exploded with strong sigs from NE and the midwest. We didn’t quit until after midnight with 275+ Qs. The propagation gods smiled again Saturday morning, pushing our total to nearly 400. Then… we fell out of favor. From that point on, it was mostly S&P, resulting in MANUAL tuning up & down the band (like the old days). :-( It became quite a slog (long and laborious). SSB proved a bit of salvation as there were many SA stations begging for QSOs Sunday. Personal highlights were ZL1IF, KH6LC, and a couple of couple Europeans - DL, EI. All in all not bad for 10M at the bottom of a sunspot cycle.
Thanks to fellow TVARC members for QSOs - K2PS, K2DM, K3ZGA, N0SMX, N4FP, K1CTR. Sorry if I missed anyone - my ears are still numb from Pete, who is less than a mile away. :-)
