I forgot to mention with about 6 hours to go in the contest, had me thinking to try for a possible clean sweep. I ended up with 51 out of a possible 63 states/provinces, only missing DC, NV, WY, ND, and 8 Canadian Provinces. There were not many Canadians heard to be worked.
I worked both contest sponsors: Ed/W0YK, and Don/AA5AU.

I picked up a new switchable 12v/30a power supply at the hamfest this weekend, to retire my old clunky Astron RS-35.
Weighs almost nothing and has a much smaller footprint on my desktop. With the fan on it is actually noisier than the old Astron. But it performed well. I think I need to get some additional shielding on the accessory power cord from the supply to the bias-t providing power to the remote tuner. The issue I have with 10meters is a loud hum coming from my station supply. Changing out supplies and still hearing the hum tells me it was not the Astron going bad.
