[TVARC] WW DIgi Contest

Pete,

Check to see if you have two different installs. In N1MM+ you might be
pointing to the wrong or old version, and your "regular" version is
installed in a different folder/path. When N1MM+ launches WSJTX, (if
pointing to the same one), it will create a separate config, or INI file
with the separate contest parameters saved different from your regular
activity. You can tell this by when it says "ForEW1" in the title bar. FYI -
"ForEW1" stands for "For Entry Window 1" referring to the entry window #1 of
N1MM+.

The "WW Digi" contest was added in v2.2.1.

If you set the path to the correct version, but didn't reboot N1MM+ then it
probably doesn't know you changed the path. These parameters are read into
RAM when N1MM+ initially boots up. And that is just the program, NOT the PC.

Got on to make a few Qs, but I notice that when using the N1MM+/WSJTX combo,
the Advanced screen in WSJTX doesn't include the WW Digi Contest option as
it does in my regular WSJTX instance. So I realized that the contest
version is not the latest one. I found the N1MM+ Configuration menu item
and the WSJT/JTDX Setup tab, and set the Path to WSJT/JTDX to the wsjtx
2.2.2 executable, the latest. But it still doesn't show the WW DIgi option,
and the header on the main WSJTX screen shows WSJT-X - ForEW1 v2.1.2 by
K1JT. The non-N1MM+ version shows WSJT-X v2.2.2 by K1JT, .

Not a big deal, since using the NA VHF Contest option exchanges grid squares
which is what I need for the contest. The only difference is that it sends
CQ TEST instead of CQ WW. But I must be missing something.

Any ideas?
