[TVARC] 6m FT8 this morning

Yes, 6m was absolutely awesome yesterday.  I went to 50.313 at about 1015a, and just kept working guys until about 1030p.  Tallied about 125 QSOs.

Hope we get conditions like that during the June VHF Contest, and looking for some EU QSOs one of these days too.  Don’t expect similar condx today.  I’ve been disappointed many times thinking it will continue the same as the day before.

Doing this all on 40M vee with 500W.  The tuner is bypassed, BTW, since SWR is about 1.4.

Hi You All,

I am a new TVARC member who has a house in Fenney but am stuck in the Boston area right now. Never worked 6m before ever.

Just put up a 6M Squalo last weekend and voila! Yesterday started picking up a few as far away as 1600 miles on 50.313 FT8 but most are close by. This morning I heard a couple local FT8’s but that’s about it right now. Band went quiet.

I have to say I think I’m spoiled picking up 6M so soon after putting up an antenna!

Good morning all you 6m guru's.... I'm hearing very low FT8 pings on 50.313 this morning, 12:15z  8:15am..  Hope it opens again today. Yesterday was pretty awesome. I'm a BIG fan of 6m, The Majic Band..
