[TVARC] TQSL and Apple

This information definitely applies to Apple users.

Problem: Latest upgrade to macOS is Catalina. There is a warning associated with upgrading to Catalina regarding 32-bit apps. As noted by Apple for some time, this upgrade will no longer support 32-bit apps. All apps must be 64-bit.
TQSL is a 32 bit app! I checked and the latest version is 2.5.x (2.5.2 for macOS) and this remains a 32-bit app.
I have sent an email to ARRL re TQSL and this issue. I basically asked when a 64-bit upgrade would be available. When I get a reply, I will put it out on the Reflector.
Note: for macOS users, here is a link re 32-bit apps and macOS. You will find instructions on how to check your computer for any 32-bit apps.

In taking a quick look at Windows, it appears 32-bit apps will still work. I just don’t know how long Windows will continue to support them.
