[TVARC] COVID-19 Testing CONTINUES To Be Available in The Villages

Hi Members of TVARC's Maillist,

An article in today's (4/7/2020) edition of "The Villages Daily Sun" (TVDS)
newspaper reminds us that COVID-19 (Coronavirus) testing continues to be
available in The Villages (at the Polo Field) thanks to the University of
Florida Health system (UF Health).  This testing is *OPEN to all* area
residents (not just residents of The Villages).  You do *NOT* need a
doctor's order for this testing.  A copy of this article is in the attached
file (*.pdf).

You *MUST pre-register* for that testing via this UF Health website:

Melanie (my wife) and I took advantage of that UF Health testing
opportunity during its first week of operation.  We sincerely thank the
young people (lots of 3rd year medical students) that are staffing the
testing tents set up at the Polo Field.

BE PATIENT with that registration website.  We had to try over ten (10)
times before we got a time slot!  During your first attempt, be sure to
write down on a notepad, your answers to the various questions asked; then,
during your subsequent attempts you'll be much faster in entering the
required data.

The single biggest frustration that we ran into using the UF Health's
registration webpage is that the "time slot" you pick is NOT reserved for
you while you enter the other required data.  Thus, it's possible another
person picked that same slot a bit earlier than you did and completes
his/her entry of this other data before you can hit the "Submit" button.
So, unless UF Health has fixed this underlying problem, it's frustrating to
have to start over when you discover somebody beat you to the finish line
(hitting the "Submit" button for the same time slot before you did).  BE
PATIENT...Keep trying...Pick time slots other than the first ones available.
