[TVARC] TVARC 2020 Field Day from a New Perspective

Nice to hear from you Byron!

The name - Richard Boehm sounded vaguely familiar,
and I looked thru my file. Richard was president of TVARC
at that time and I have a copy of a letter from Mark Morse,
then director of operations for the Villages to Richard
regarding antennas in the Villages.

Mark responded that they would be setting a dangerous
precedent if they ignored one of the CCRs regarding antennas.
But he suggested that perhaps a flagpole could be used because it didn't
look like an antenna. Then the only thing the
Villages would be concerned about would be television
reception of the neighbors.

The letter was dated February 4, 2002. That was 10 years
prior to my knowing anything about the Villages, but it just
adds a date certain to the discussion.

Stay safe,
73,
John, NP2B
