[TVARC] Contest FCG-FQP (2019 Florida QSO Party): K4QR's "Brag" & Notes

Hi Members of TVARC's MailList (especially those interested in contesting),

I only participated in last weekend's Florida QSO Party contest (Contest
ID: FCG-FQP) for about 70 minutes total.  However, my timing was perfect
for a brief band opening on 20 meters.  So, I operated in "run" mode on
14.285 MHz SSB to rack up a few points.

I heard only a few other Florida stations on-the-air.  I heard two (2) of
the special W4x stations that were part of the "spelling bee" aspect of
this contest (needed to get all 5 special stations to spell "BEACH").
However, I was unable to work any of them.

Lots of out-of-state stations were heard.  During most of my contest
operating time, I had quite a pile-up going, which made it a lot of fun.  😀

Looking forward to hearing how well our other club members, especially the
"rovers," did during this contest.
