[TVARC] Help on FT8 with FT817

I am not familiar with the 202, but on my Rigblaster, I know I have to insure that the correct soundcard is selected on the Settings > Audio tab in the WSJT-X settings.

Lastly, verify the “Test CAT” button turns Green on the Settings > Radio tab.

Hi TVARC all

Driving myself a bit nuts. Something as simple as getting my FT817 with Berringer UMC202HD USB sound modem to talk to WSJT-X FT8. 

The FT817 and WSJT-X v1.8.0 seem to talk just fine; frequency/mode can be set on either one and reflected on the other. 

But the audio part.. I can hear the digi signals over the FT817 speaker just fine. The FT817 is set on digi, so it's supposed to be talking to the rear port. I've tried USB and PKT, too. The 202 appears to be hearing the audio from the FT817, since I have to adjust the gain to keep the clipping light from coming on. I am connected from LINE IN from the FT817 to the inputs of the 202. It's an isolated homebrew oden but years ago (on another FT817 that has since died) it worked just fine on PSK31, RTTY and various other digi modes. I've tried every combination of left, right, mono in WSJT setup. WSJT setup recognizes the 202 USB modem. I can't help but think that there is some parameter that I have not set properly. I'm sure it is cockpit error of some sort. Any ideas would be appreciated.
