[TVARC] Noise Levels: Dunedin Neighborhod

I’m in Collier and I also have a similar issue with QRM.  Right now, I can hear it at:

14027
14088 
14149
14213
14274
14335

It isn’t only 20 meters but 20 is a good band to use as a check at this hour since there are no/few real signals there to confuse the issue.  This QRM has been there for the past 5 years that I have lived here.  Earlier observations stating that it is 3 – 4 S units above the noise floor are close in my situation too.

Who/what is the perpetrator?  “The Shadow Knows   .  .  .  .  .  “

So that's what it is! I've tried locating it with 
no success! Where abouts in the Villages 
are you located. How can we prove it is SECO? 
If so, we can get the FCC to help us. I have 
the same thing.

Check around in your neighborhood to see if SECO or Duke has been doing
some work.  Our utilities are underground but the power stations are
clustered at various points.  I've had a persistent noise "mound" on the
HF bands that travels slowly up and down the bands.  It is about 6-7 kHz
wide, 3-5 S units (sometimes more) above the ambient noise floor and
repeats in roughly 64 kHz increments.  The power distribution station is
a quarter mile down the road where SECO has been working for a while. 
Dennis, N0SMX has also observed the stuff.  I haven't gotten around to
calling SECO to let them know about it.
