[TVARC] FD FT8 QRGs

You're always bound to get non-FD people answering you even if you call CQ
FD. And it's hard to get rid of those folks once they call you. No easy
way to get the FD exchange from them either. Much simpler to go to a place
where everyone is clued in.

FT4 isn't ready yet, according to the powers that be. Next year, however,
FT8 may be a thing of the past.

What? No FT4?

Of course calling "CQ FD" would be a good sign for stations hearing you,
that you are looking for FD contacts; and if in S&P mode, calling a station
that is putting out a "CQ FD" can pretty much assure one of logging a valid
FD contact.

I suspect the post is implying that FD stations won't get the required
exchange if they use the standard frequencies. Good idea to separate them.
Hopefully FD FT8 operators will be aware of the new locations.

"The suggested FT8 frequencies for Field Day will be:

1840 3580 7080 14080 21080 28080 50318 144174. The reason for separate
frequencies is to not disrupt the normal DXing and QSOs on the standard
frequencies. There will be some FD stations on the standard freqs, and go
ahead and work them there. You will not be able to work non FD mode
stations."

Not sure what the post means by "You will not be able to work non FD mode
stations" so here is the link if anyone is interested:
