[TVARC] Banaba Island

Just saw posts from T33T, Banaba Island.  This is purported to be the same
group that put Conway Reef, 3D2CR on the air at the beginning of this month,
but some are calling it a pirate operation.

 

Banaba is in the Pacific, as well, and should be workable for us if they're
legit, especially if they stay for as long as they did for Conway.

 

I happened to be in Fiji, back in 2004, and spent a few days at a resort
where a bunch of the guests were the DXpeditioners just back from Banaba,
doing R&R.  Heard stories about the island, only about 150 natives there,
with rare resupply ships.  If I recall correctly, Banaba was originally a
source of guano, used for fertilizer a long time ago.
