Congrats on the Miles Per Watt award! Good going.

I had a similar experience with the storms as we all did. I did manage to work Bert, F6HNK, CT1BQH in Portugal and also got Alexy, R7DA (but with 100 Watts!).

I just put in for my SKCC Px5 Prefix Award.

Congrats,

Bob, K3ZGA

Tough conditions on the bands this past weekend. Not to mention having to close the station down a whole bunch of times due to the storms.
One of those lightning bolts hit quit near this station. Made me jump. Found Rambo hiding under the bed.
Even so, I did have some success. 20 hard fought QRP Qs during the SKCC Weekend Sprint. Lots did better. It’s amazing what a decent antenna will do.

However, all is well that ends well. I worked Alex (R7DA)  using my trusty KX2 at 4w. and my fabulous Force 12 flagpole. 579 both ways.
Good enough to be awarded the 1,000 Miles per Watt Award at the 1,500 MPW level.

W0EJ says:
“In days of old when Ops  were bold and sideband was not invented,
the word would pass by pounding brass and all were well contented.”
