[TVARC] camp villages

Folks,

I wasn't there, but judging from all the comment,
it sounds like a excellent opportunity to have a
special event station with a special 1X1 call like
K4V.

A lot of stations chase certificates, plenty of
time for publicity, the Villages would probably
be happy to print the certificates and QSLs.
1X1 calls get a lot of special attention on the
sir.

A beam set up at the site,, the TVARC club
banner calling attention locally and nationally
to the Camp Villages project? With the special
event call, and a published frequency, there
would be plenty of people looking for us which
would assure us of a bunch of contacts.

If we want to do this, we would have to form
a committee now and apply for the special
callsign for the date of the event immediately,
or at least soon.

What does everyone think of the idea?
