[TVARC] Logging for FT8

Hi Sam,
I am a little out of pocket right now. The following is what I have
documented on my phone, so I am unable to elaborate by verifying with the
radio or computer setup.
For non-contest, regular activity I use HRD, and there is a parameter
setting in WSJT-X, I believe, under the radio control; select HRD as the
rig control.
This should allow for both HRD and WSJT-X and JTAlert-X to actually share
the com port connection that HRD is using.
*************************************
To launch WSJT-X from HRD:
To set up in Program Launcher Manager:
Rig control Menu: Add Tools>Programs>Program Launcher>JTAlert /wsjtx
Create a batch file in the JTAlert folder as follows:
Batch file name: jtalert.bat
@echo off
Start “” “c:\<path>\jtalert.exe” /wsjtx
@EXIT
EXIT
**************************************
If you opt to NOT use JTAlert-X, you should be able to simply launch WSJT-X
from the Program Launcher menu by calling wsjtx.exe (or whatever its name)
directly.
For logging from either WSJT-X or JTAlert-X there is a setup screen where
you can enable the TCP porting of the ADI packets from WSJT-X directly into
HRD Log.
