[TVARC] ARRL DX Contest Operations

This weekend is the SSB version of the annual ARRL DX contest.  In the ARRL DX contests DX stations ONLY work stations in the USA and Canada, so they are looking to work us!  The contest starts at 7:00 PM Friday and ends at 6:59 PM Sunday.  The DX stations will send a signal report (I bet it will be 5-9) and their power (e.g., 5-9, 100 or 5-9, KW), and we send back a signal report (yes, 5-9, even if it is not true) and our state (e.g., 5-9, Florida).  If the DX station has trouble getting the state, try “Foxtrot Lima”.  Some of the DX will be very loud and should be easy to work.  Frank, KA1AF, has already worked a handful of DX stations as they warm up for the contest.
