[TVARC] metallurgist

This is for a ham radio project.

What I need is a piece of spring steel wire,
perhaps 6' long, that's made out of the same
stuff as a mobile whip antenna, but of a much
smaller gauge. (i.e. much thinner, maybe
16AWG). And, I don't know what to look for.

I think I first need to talk to someone who is
familiar with metallurgy to tell me exactly
what I need to be looking for.

Anybody who is going to be at the meeting on
Thursday can give me some ideas?

Thanks,
John, NP2B
