I don't know where I got Pitcairn. Bermuda makes more sense. Anyway, it was a good test of the 6BTV vs the beam which wasn't great even when facing Bermuda. Thanks for the correction.

I just checked my log and I worked him about 50 minutes ago. My log says he was 5NN so I guess he was pounding in here :)

An old Air Force friend of mine who was a year ahead of me at the Academy, is pounding in from Pitcairn Island on 14049.4 with his 100 watts. I first heard him with weak signal using my beam pointed SE, rotated to SW and not much better. Switched to 6BTV and he is pounding in. VP9/W6PH. Good opportunity for vertical antenna. I also worked him early yesterday morning on 80, weak signal but he copied me.
