Hi Members of TVARC MailList,

If you're interested in SkyWarn training, then read on for details about
your opportunity to attend SkyWarn training on March 7. In response to
Gene King's (KI4LEH) request, I am posting his information about this
training on TVARC's maillist (aka reflector).

If you've never attended a SkyWarn class, then this is a great opportunity
to get your initial training. If your SkyWarn training is a bit
out-of-date, then it's also a good opportunity to refresh your weather
spotting skills.

Tony,

=== START OF SkyWarn Training information from KI4LEH ===

The upcoming SkyWarn class is open to all amateurs as well as those who are
not, remember you do not have to be an amateur to be a SkyWarn / Weather
Observer.

Yeah, me again.

First is a reminder for everyone to do your best to attend our February 14,
2019, RACES meeting at 6:00 PM. We will have a guest speaker, local
gentleman from Citrus County, to share with us his journey in amateur radio
including his involvement with the Maritime Mobile Net and helping to save
lives. So please attend and let’s make him welcome.

Coming up on *Thursday, March 7, 2019, at 1:00 PM* we will be hosting
an *in-person
SkyWarn / Weather Observers class*. If the government shutdown is over by
then we should have Dan Noah from the National Weather Service out of
Ruskin coming to present the class. Non-amateurs can take this class as
well so if you have a relative, friend or neighbor who may be interested
they can RSVP as well. And yes, we need you to *RSVP for the class* as we
have to keep a headcount so, send an email to SumterEmComm at gmail.com and
include your Call Sign if you have one and a phone number.

Thank you!

Gene
