[TVARC] Happy Birthday to the Transistor, 72 Years Old Today

December 23, 1947 the transistor was successfully demonstrated! John
Bardeen, Walter Brattain, and William Shockley invented the transistor at
the Bell Laboratories in Murray Hills, New Jersey. The trio was jointly
awarded the 1956 Nobel Prize in Physics for their researches on
semiconductors and the discovery of transistor effect.
