Ten meters can be sooo good.and as we saw this weekend, sooo bad. The
propagation gods were barely with us this year. Two decent openings, one on
Saturday morning at 9A and the other Sunday just before noon. And of course
it was going strong during the 1P NFL games. I guess the good news (?) then
was that the opening (primarily to Texas) wasn't good enough to make me take
complete focus off of the Eagles as they beat the Redskins.

So most of the time it was a real slog. Last year I made 553 QSOs; this
year just about half of that. But I guess the good news is that it probably
can't get worse. Hopefully we're at the sunspot bottom right now. And the
upswing tends to occur more quickly than the way down.

For the first time used the amp to get the allowed 150W max for LP.
Required about 8W out from the IC-7610. And the antenna comes down in the
next couple of days, to be stored away until next year.

Thanks to N0SMX and N4FP (CW and SSB), WB2ART, K3ZGA (of course), K1CTR on
CW, and then NP2B/4 and WU3Z/M (SSB only). Hope I didn't miss anyone.
