Thanks, George!
I’ve been participating in this contest for many years, and I’ve often been in the top 5 or 10, but never won actually won it. I’ve tried from PA, NJ, and DC (which is a multiplier in this one), but Florida was the charm. I had noticed over the years that winners often tended to come from FL (no, that’s not why I moved here!), and I can see why – doesn’t happen all the time, but when propagation does not allow for F2 transatlantic communication on 10 meters, then sitting down here in FL can give us paths to the Northeast, Midwest, and Southwest of the US, with occasional double hops to the Western part of the country. Other areas of the US may get one or two of these paths, but not all of them like we can - and did. South prop is also often possible, too, so I was also able to add a bunch of South American and Caribbean stations to the log.
We’ve got a few more years, unfortunately (for DXing), of this kind of propagation on 10 meters, so let’s make hay while the sun shines (but not the spots)! It will roll around again come December, and this time I’ll contribute my score to TVARC instead of the Florida Contest Group (they didn’t need it), and we have a good shot at winning in the Local Club category if all the club’s contesters compete.
Next contest coming up that favors Florida, besides the Florida QSO Party this weekend, would be the June VHF Contest. Six meters has many of the same propagation characteristics, and Floridians can do well there too.

I only gave them a quick scan, but I found two items of note:
1. The Villages Amateur Radio Club is listed in the club competition results. YAY!
2. Our very own K2PS WON the Single Operator, Mixed Mode Low Power category for the entire U.S. Way to go Pete!
