Some of you may be aware of my extremely traumatic change-over from operating ham radio from an AWESOME MAC Systen to a very different Windows system. For all you PC lovers, I will not badmouth Windows. In fact, from the time I mast used windows to now, the GAO has closed significantly -it was a chasm and now is only a gorge!!
However, I will point out 2 area of concern: a. The built-in window clock timing system is NG. Replace it with Dimensions 4 or equivalent. My WSJT-X could not decide this morning. Time in laptop was about 4 sec off!!! Loaded Dimensions 4 and all ok (free). b. I use JT-Bridge with WSJT-X. It is almost irreplaceable as an adjunct to WSJT-X. Similar to JT-ALERTS but 1000 times better. Gives better info and all displayed BEFORE, the start of the next cycle!!!! Whereas, JT-ALERTS gives less info and well after the start of the next cycle. I personally find JT - ALERTS useless if you want to see a station and go after him immediately.
