[TVARC] Russian WW RTTY contest

Well, the 2-land guys are closer to Russia than us, but I recall a
VE2-something that got a much earlier opening to Europe than the rest of the
northeast.  I also recall that the W4s at times were the ONLY guys getting
across the pond.  So ya get what ya get!

 

.and you did work a few countries, and even an oblast!

 

It will get better, I promise.  Tabitha says so.

Well conditions were not much better than recent weeks. I had an occasion
where I was trying to get through to some guy in "2" land. I was clearly off
to the side of his beam, as he never heard me. But he was working the
Europeans at a rate of 3-4 per minute, during the time I was trying to get
through. I never heard a single one of the Qs he was racking up. Boy, do I
miss my beam antenna from years ago!!!
