Good Sunday to you all:
I’d like to thank you all for volunteering with the planning, setup, donut eating, operation, and efficient takedown of this years “RoS” yesterday. We timed it just right!
As you may know, this was my second time volunteering to be the “RoS” Chairperson. As it turned out, Bruce Cusanelli was my Co-chairperson and really did a great job assisting and offering suggestions during the planning of “RoS 2018!”
Attendance wise, we had more members show up and all of you jumped in and gave a lot of suggestions for antenna placement and how to use a slingshot!. Thanks for that!
We had four operational stations. Three connected to antennas and one that worked through the internet via a remotely setup controller. Over by the WVLG radio studio, we had a mobile operating station that generated quite a bit of interest which demonstrated how hams can operate under many conditions and modes!
In front of the bandstand were our Information and Morse Code Demonstration Tables. They drummed up a lot of new hams for licensing classes, getting kids interested in CW and signing up new members for TVARC.
I am looking forward to greeting each of you at the TVARC Holiday Party, to again, thank you all for making this a great, “RoS 2018!”
Hoping to see you on the 20th, around 6:00 PM!
Have a Happy and Joyous Holiday Season!
73,
Tom Grosvenor ~NV1U~
Bruce Cusanelli ~WA1UTQ~
