[TVARC] FT8 during ARRL Field Day

I have found that if the station initiating
a CQ gives an unrecognizable grid square,
that the WSJT-X software does not want to
deal with it. Thus, substituting 2A-NFL for
EL98 might be a problem. However, I'll bet
the software guru's could easily find a "work-
around" for that.
I don't think we need to worry about the new
DXpedition mode however. While K4VRC is
a "desirable" station, I don't think we will be
that "desirable." ☺
I have a extra Tarheel screwdriver antenna
with a base and controller which we could
easily set up somewhere. Also doesn't the
club have 2 laptop computers with Win 10 on
them? I know Education has one, I thought
we had another. If so, we could put FT-8 on
that, set up one of the club's rigs and do a
"dry run" sometime well before Field Day and
have it ready to run at a moments notice.
Does anyone know if the Club owns a second
Win 10 laptop and if so, where it is?

John, NP2B
