[TVARC] New toy

I just bought a telescope from my neighbor whose husband passed away. It is
a Celestron NexStar 130SLT. Thank heavens there are a lot of YouTube videos
on the telescope! I can see a small bit of damage in the battery pack. It
holds 8 Double A batteries. What product have people found for cleaning up
minor corrosion? I know what we did years ago, but there are probably better
ways today.
