What a fascinating trip down memory lane.

I just got thru selling an unbuilt SA-2060
tuner on eBay. I got only $500 for it, which
including my original purchase price, eBay
and Paypal fees, original postage and the
special box I had to ship it in, left me with
very little spare change! Not all unbuilt kits
(Heathkits) command the big bux!

I was also one of the folks that built the
only Heathkit they ever had recall - the
HW-2026 2-mater synthesized transceiver.
As I recall, it put out it's 10 watts, but it was
spread out all over the 2 meter band. You
could access 10 repeaters at one time!
When you turned it in, they gave you your
money back and as I remember, a $50.00
credit that you could use toward buying
anything else they produced.

Anybody hat has been in ham radio (I've
got 60+ years as a licensed ham!!!!) will
remember the Heathkits. Take a look at that
website that George posted. But pack a
lunch, because you will be there a while!
