Hi Members of TVARC's Maillist (especially those interested in Baker Island
DXpedition),
There are several "freebie" propagation forecasting/prediction tools
online. They can help you narrow down when band conditions (propagation)
might give you the highest probability (chances) of successfully working DX
(like the ongoing Baker Island DXpedition, KH1/KH7Z).
I've discovered that the freebie one mentioned on the Baker Island website
(K6TU's tool) does NOT seem to change from day-to-day. So, you may want to
try using the VOACAP Online tool instead. This VOACAP online tool's
homepage is located at: http://www.voacap.com . To use VOACAP's online,
point-to-point, predictor tool, go to this URL & fill-in the appropriate
inputs:
http://www.voacap.com/p2p/index2.html .
Yes, that VOACAP online propagation tool is a bit more complicated than the
K6TU mentioned on the Baker Island propagation webpage; but, at least the
VOACAP one seems to change from day-to-day.
73 & May you "hound" the "fox" (KH1/KH7Z station on Baker Island) for a
confirmed QSO/QSL!

P.S. Assuming attachments get to you through the TVARC's Maillist, I've
attached a copy of how that VOACAP online, point-to-point, propagation tool
looked after I entered the appropriate inputs for my QTH & the Baker Island
location. The attached file is in Adobe Portable Document Format (*.pdf).
