First, thank you to those of you who said nice things about our Field Day experience.I truly appreciate it.
>From my perspective we had a very successful event.  Remembering that my over-archinggoal for Field Day was for those of us who participated to have fun.  From your commentsand from my own observations this goal was achieved.  We had a large number of clubmembers participating in setting up both Friday and Saturday.  We had more people actuallyoperate than I can recall during my tenure as FD coordinator.  We had a large number of memberswho stopped by to visit, and we had an able crew who disassembled the stations and antennasin record time.  Throughout it all, no one got hurt (phew)!  We also had a special 'ladies day'period from 4-6 on Saturday during which a number of XYLs (licensed and not) operated the bigstation in a relaxed, stress-free environment before heading out for dinner together.
What was especially gratifying for me is that most of the antennas and radios were set up withoutmy involvement.  Sub groups of members took on the various tasks, and, when all was said anddone we had 6 antennas and 3 stations up and running well in advance of 2:00.  I was only personallyinvolved in setting up 1 antenna and 1 station, and that's the way (uh huh, uh huh) I like it.Rookies and experienced members worked side by side and got it all done.  What a fantastic job!!!
So, how did we do?  Station #1 was active for the entire 24 hours.  The ops produced 864 QSOs inconditions that were marginal (especially on Saturday).  Station #2 saw less activity, often sittingunused.  The ops who used Station #2 made 317 QSOs.  A total of 48 people signed our attendancesheet.  I will present detailed results at the nextclub meeting.
Special thanks to my partner in planning and implementation, NP2B, John Ellis.
