You must have dug really, really deep to have heard George. Good ears! And
I hope you understand that the WABB Award is no longer sufficient for much
of anything. The WABF has now superseded the WABB, and is highly prized.
Nice job on 160!

Wayne,
Outstanding job. So many contacts on 160M. Fabulous.
I am so glad that you spent some time calling CQ, which allowed me to find
you.
73,
George K2DM

While we miss living in The Villages, there are advantages to having room
for antennas. This weekend, in the CQ 160 meters CW contest, I worked all
states except Alaska, Hawaii, Nebraska, and Washington, and worked 17
countries. I was amazed at how good conditions were on 160 meters.

CQ 160-Meter Contest, CW
Call: N4FP
Operator(s): N4FP
Station: N4FP
Class: Single Op HP
QTH: Ocala, FL
Operating Time (hrs): 8
Summary:
Total: QSOs = 355 State/Prov = 53 Countries = 17 Total Score = 63,490
Club: Florida Contest Group
Comments:
Flex 6300, AL-80B, 160 Meters Inverted L at 60 ft. Great band conditions
until early Sunday when there was a lot of QSB. I really appreciate having
room for a reasonable 160 meters antenna vs the 35ft vertical I previously
used on 160 in The Villages with a 17 ft fishing pole hoisted above my 22
ft flagpole. I am proud I earned the 'Worked All Briggs Brothers Award'
(K2DM, K3ZM, VY2ZM), which was one of my main goals in entering the contest.
Hope to earn it again in the SSB contest next month.
