Some of the items should never have gotten to the agenda.


That's what a 'wood shed' is for, you drag the guy there and ask him to withdraw the item(s) before publication. Happens in business all the time and saves a lot of grief.


I think that the public censure of Dick Norton N6AA really bordered on criminal. 


Dick, passed it off as him now being a "folk hero", but it was truly demeaning and the BOD should do the right thing and beg for him to accept reinstatment.


Failure to act when a good person is attacked is really shameful.

I agree. The board was way out of line to begin with, 
but the membership spoke andI think we will see 
some new directors when current ones are up for 
re-election. I wouldn't be too surprised to see a 
number of them just not run again.

Yes, BUT....


The proposed changes were really out of line in the 1st place.


It's really good that the strong ham community voiced their disapproval or some of the changes might have been adopted.


It's a shame that ARRL is kicking the censure of a Director can down the road, it should be dealt with now since it was a stimulus for the uproar in the 1st place.

For those of you who were at the Thursday night meeting, you heard about the alleged ARRL problems. 


I am happy to report that I understand the Board voted unanimously not to change any of the bylaws and that a search committee has being formed to find a new CEO. Barry Shelly, the League's financial guy, will oversee the operation of the League until a new CEO is hired. 


This is good news!
