WOW, Pete! Nice going.
I guess you are serious about this ham radio stuff buying a shiny new 7610.
Congratulations!

Seems as if RTTY contests are easier to be successful calling CQ and having
stations respond at a good rate. Less competition? Less QRM? I don't
know. Conditions were not particularly good, based on the number of DX
stations heard and worked. But in any event, I started on Saturday
afternoon, not intending to operate a whole lot, but stations kept calling,
and so it wasn't something I could easily pull myself away from (contesters
are like that). Besides, I had to put my brand spankin' new Icom-7610
through its paces, and it performed excellently. I haven't set up an A/B
switch to compare it with my old Icom-756PROII, but it sure seemed as if I
heard really, really well (which ultimately means hearing more stations who
could ignore my puny signal).
Thanks to KA1AF and N0SMX for the Qs. Missed ND4G - XYL have a lengthy
honey-do list for you?
Picked up states 48 (SD) and 49 (AK) for the TVARC WAS. Just missing ND
now.
73, Pete, K2PS
