[TVARC] TVARC: Transition of Ragchew Net's Primary Net Control Station from W4OE to K4ZDM

Hi Members of TVARC's Maillist/Reflector,

Effective January 4, 2018, Karen Erickson (K4ZDM) is the primary Net
Control Station (NCS) for TVARC's Ragchew Net.  Karen's positive
personality and genuine enthusiasm for ham radio will add a new, positive
dimension to our club's weekly net.  So, be sure to check into this net and
show your support for Karen in her new leadership role.  On behalf of the
entire Board, we thank Karen for stepping forward and volunteering for this
position.

It's also a win-win because the net gained a tag team as George Briggs
(K2DM) has also stepped-up to the plate and volunteered to be an assistant
NCS. Thanks, George.

Hal Lloyd (W4OE) our former primary NCS for that net initiated this
transition when he recently requested that the Board find some relief for
him from this net duty.  So, on behalf of the entire TVARC Board, let me
take this opportunity to thank Hal (W4OE) for serving as the primary Net
Control Station (NCS) for TVARC's Ragchew Net for most of 2017 and part of
2018.  His expertise at conducting nets,  studio quality voice, and humor
went along way toward resurrecting this net, which had languished in the
doldrums prior to his assumption of the NCS duties.  His gifts will be
missed by everybody who checked into this net.  Hopefully, he'll remain
available as a substitute net control station should the need arise.

Finally, our thanks to Marty (WB2VYK) for serving as Hal's assistant NCS
and agreeing to continue to serve as an assistant net control (possibly on
an ad hoc, as needed, basis).

was posted earlier on the club's homepage:
