Hi Members of TVARC's Maillist,
Did you notice that TVARC's website shows an additional activity at our ham
club meeting tomorrow (Thursday, February 15, 2018)? Read on for more
details about this activity billed as the "HT Programming Session #3" by
WA1UTQ.
During the "Social/Elmer Hour" part of our club meeting, Bruce Cusanelli
(WA1UTQ) will be conducting the third in a series of sessions designed to
help people get their HTs (handhelds; handy-talkies; handheld transceivers)
programmed. During this programming session (from about 6:05 p.m. to 6:45
p.m. EST), Bruce will help you program your HTs; so, be sure to bring them
to this meeting.
Bruce plans to manually program your HTs. However, if you can bring in your
HT's programming software (on your laptop), then Bruce can try to help you
use it to program your particular HT. Such software includes "CHIRP" (
http://chirp.danplanet.com/projects/chirp/wiki/Home/ ) & the various
product offerings from "RT Systems" (https://www.rtsystemsinc.com/ ) and
maybe others.
Bruce will handle as many people as possible that need this programming
service.
73,
Tony Hackenberg/K4QR
TVARC's Secretary
