Wayne,

FB on your 160 score. I miss being a bottom-feeder with my Inverted L
back in NH. I'm toying with the idea of a push-up 40-foot mast anchored
a couple feet away from my 6BTV "flagpole". The idea is to run about 40
feet up the mast and across the roof to another support. I can fashion a
collar between the flagpole and the mast so that I can get away without
guying the mast. Total length would be about 90 feet. I could connect
it to my present ground plane with a coil between the feed and antenna to
electrically lengthen it. (I will try the tuner in my K3 first but I
don't think it will have enough headroom.) I can collapse the mast at
daybreak to avoid the village vigilantes. I'm sure I can work all
Caribbean stations, Central America, and northern South America. With
luck, the European big guns may be able to dig me out.
