Hi Members of TVARC's Maillist (especially those interested in Emergency
Communications),

On behalf of Gene King/KI4LEH (Sumter County's RACES Radio Officer) I am
posting the following article about the "2019 Amateur Radio Emergency
Communications Conference," which will be held on February 2 & 3, 2019, in
Gainesville, FL.

If you are interested in attending this event, read the blurb below and
follow the blurb's link (URL).  This is NOT a TVARC, or RACES, sponsored
event.  Rather, this is something you would do on your own; so, if

The 2019 Amateur Radio Emergency Communications Conference is taking shape
-- Feb 2 & 3, 2019 in Gainesville Florida.

Most of the speakers are now confirmed. $5 at the door to cover the cost of
TWO BOOKS you will receive -- the conference text, and what we call 'The
Blank Book" -- which you might really appreciate during the Full Scale
Exercise you'll begin just a couple hours after the start of the Conference.

Two Teams + Logistics Chief (and deputies), graciously filled by Karl
Martin. This conference will have a ton of HANDS ON SESSIONS -- you should
be able to get your radio cable built, possibly even a wooden go-box for
your radios -- learn how to build ad-hoc VHF radios -- get your WINLINK
installed, and possibly learn how to build a Shelter WIFI BULLETIN SYSTEM.
Bring every skill & trick in your box!!! You and your county's group will
need them for the Exercise -- learn how to be a PIO....and a zillion other
talks and sessions.
