I followed N4FP/m pileups throughout the weekend. It was breath taking. Managed to work them (Op: K2PS) in 5 counties Saturday evening on 40 meters when they were on heading back to Ocala.
What a weekend! Job well done.

Comments:
Pete, K2PS and I had a blast. It was Pete's first state QSO Party ever as a Rover, and he was impressed. We split driving and operating, hit 15 counties Sat and 16 new counties on Sun, over 800 miles. We spent Sat night back at my QTH in Ocala where my xyl Marty, FCG member WB2VYK, fixed us a nice late dinner and cocktails. Marty was happy that Pete was able to participate this year since she had done all the driving for the past 5 years in FQP.
We worked 12 DX countries, including UA3AGW in Moscow.
The equipment worked flawlessly. Flex 6400, 100 watts, to Hustler 20 and 40 meter resonators horizontally mounted atop 3 ft mag mounted mast, each pointed to the rear, 120 degrees split. I've used this antenna all six years in FQP and see no reason to change. It gives us instant band switching.
Pete was convinced we could make 2000 contacts, and he made 128 in the last hour, in 2 counties, to get us there. Great job, Pete.
Thanks to all the CWOPS who added many contacts to our log.
73/OJ,
Wayne, N4FP
