Earle,
You could put a regular mobile roof mount thru the
fiberglass top and cement a few radials to the roof
of the cart since you never see the top of the cart.
You can put a rubber hole plug in the hole when
you sell or trade the cart.
Also another thing to remember is that the cart with a
mobile antenna mounted to the roof may extend above
the garage door opening since the golf cart is rather tall.
The thru-glass would probably work fine if you can get
past the lip or overhang of the roof.
