[TVARC] 50 Years ago today

While this is not Ham related, I thought it may of interest to the members.

There are several news stories about the sad events in Washington DC that
happened 50 years ago today.

Here are excerpts from a recording of DC Police Channel 2 that night.

They include a call to be on the lookout for SOD men (special operations
division) and tactical men, an alarm for Howard's Clothes at 3036 14th St
<https://maps.google.com/?q=3036+14th+St&entry=gmail&source=g>, SOD men
stationed at the mayor's house, a request to talk to the chief, send men to
14th and U, a question about making contact with Reverend Fauntroy, looting
in the 18-1900 block of 7th St, send men to 7th and Florida.


A bit of history from a very sad night.
