Hi Members of TVARC's MailList,
During tonight's Board meeting, a question arose as to how a person outside
the areas impacted by Hurricane Irma could find out the status of their
loved ones inside the impacted area (similar to incoming "Health & Welfare"
messages). The Red Cross runs a website/database that provides this
functionality. It's called "Safe & Well" and could be useful for you
during the upcoming dangerous storm (Hurricane Irma). This website is at:
https://safeandwell.communityos.org/cms/index.safe.php
Assuming you still have Internet access during or after the hurricane
danger, people in the impacted areas can register their status on this Red
Cross website. Then loved ones (outside the impacted area) can check for
the status of the people they care about inside the impacted area.
Stay safe during this dangerous storm,
Tony/K4QR [formerly N8SK]
TVARC's Secretary
