Looking for anyone with fldigi experience (or with an explanation of ‘how to do it’)
I have fldigi up and running for CW and have used it with good success - especially high speed DXpeditions.
However, with the upcoming CQWW CW contest, I would like some inputs on setting up fldigi for contest operation and for help in operating fldigi as a CQer.
Specifically, I have not yet figured out how the DXpeditions, operate so quickly…..
how do they pick out signals from a pileup?
and how to they so quickly get the call letters into the cue?
and how to quickly get all the information into the log?
If all of this is done manually, then it is WAY TOO FAST for me.
For example:
	a. TO2SP transmits CQ at 35+ wpm (macro?)
	b. I respond with my call, twice, at 35wpm (macro)
	c. He replies with my call and 5NN immediately (macro?)
	d. I reply with R 599 tu immediately (macro)
	e. He replies with tu and is immediately on a new call. (macro?)
Without automation, I can not see how this is done. Either I am slow (I know, I know) or they have fldigi or something like that helping.
Inputs greatly appreciated.
Want to hone my contesting skills.

Note: I know most contesters use N1MM but even there I can’t figure out the speed of calling and logging. A contact at 35wpm as outlined above can be completed in about 15 seconds especially when each sequence is initiated by the DX stations tu only!!

Thanks,
Frank - KA1AF
