Below is my (N8SK) "brag" (more like a whimper) about my results in the
2017 Florida QSO Party (FQP) contest.
On Saturday, April 29, 2017, I worked the 1st window of the Florida QSO
Party contest from my base station at my home QTH in The Villages, FL. I
operated as a Single Operator (SO) on All Bands (AB) with Assistance (A) in
the form of using a DX cluster (spotting network) to help me locate the
other stations participating in this contest.
Band conditions were DISMAL! My rate of contacts was an abysmal 3/hour (9
contacts in about 3 hours). Heard very few signals on the contest's HF
bands. Heard a couple of stations inside Florida (only worked 2 Florida
Counties - Broward & Leon). Heard only a few stations outside Florida
(worked 6 states). Heard no foreign DX (outside of US).
