[TVARC] Field Day update

Good morning,

A crew of about 8 enthusiastic club members assembled the A3 yagi yesterday and
‘planted’ the club’s push-up mast in the field while waiting for the Emergency Services
trailer to be delivered.  It was delivered around 5:30, but there was one vehicle blocking
the path to the customary parking spot.  So, after some jockeying and musing, we all
agreed on a parking spot.  After we loaded the radios and laptops into the trailer, we
took off.

Today is the big day.  Starting around 9AM, fortified with donuts, we will put the yagi on
the trailer’s tower, attach a dipole or two to the push-up mast, and assemble the two
stations inside the trailer.

Pete, K2PS, has asked to lead us off at 2PM on the big station for two hours, and Ed,
K2TE, has asked to operate 6-8PM and/or 8-10PM.  So, I am going to slot Pete in the
2-4PM spot and Ed in the 8-10PM spot, leaving 4PM – 8PM time period for other ops to
play.  Then, of course, there is the overnight time period and tomorrow.  Come on out
and visit, even if you don’t want to operate or can’t make it for setting up.
