Hi Tony,
Very well done. Congratulations on getting them all.
I worked only one of the 13 colonies – Connecticut (K2D).
73,
George

Hi Members of TVARC's MailList (hosted by QSL.net),

The "13 Colonies" Special Event occurred on the ham bands from July 1 through July 6, 2017. This year's event ran as follows:
ET: July 1 (9AM EST) to July 6th (Midnight EST)
  Z: (July 1, 2017-1300 UTC to July 7, 2017-0400 UTC).

I again thoroughly enjoyed this event as a fun filled way to celebrate America's birthday using our ham radios. The organizers of this event and the various station operators in the 13 states making up the original 13 Colonies deserve our kudos. Also, the two bonus stations (one in Philadelphia & the other in Great Britain/England) deserve our thanks.

N8SK's Brag for the 2017 "13 Colonies" Special Event:

  # Colony stations worked: 13 of 13 [a clean sweep!]😉

  # Bonus stations worked: 2 of 2 [Philadelphia & England]😀
  Total Worked 15 of 15

I worked 12 of those 15 stations on 20 meters. The remaining 3 I snagged on 40 meters.
My toughest colony station to get was Connecticut (K2D). And it nearly came down to the wire before I finally got the bonus station (GB13COL) in England.

Working those 15 stations was spread across five (5) days: July 1, 3, 4, 5, & 6. I don't recall how long (on-the-air duration) it took me to work these stations.

For more information about this special event, see the 13 Colonies website at: http://www.13colonies.net/.

73,

Tony/N8SK
