Hi Pete
You are absolutely right about the CW listening part. I too enjoy contesting and I am having a lot of fun getting my feet wet again. Looking forward to NAQSO Party later this month (I might be able to handle SSB). 
As to “forcing” you to have 50 QSO’s for WAS, it really is not that bad, especially if you write down things to say other that 59(9) FL :).
For the WAS, I was only trying to give myself a chance!! But, then again, I might have to eliminate the 1 or 2 10-10 contacts :( Not a good weekend for 10!!
