Good morning Tony, et al,

Here is a copy of one of the emails that you sent to the TVARC mailman list. It has color, multiple fonts, bullets and graphics.

I haven’t checked the archives to see whether these formats are preserved there, but they certainly came through on the

email. If they are not preserved in the archive, perhaps there is an administrable item to preserve them.

You should receive TWO copies of this forwarded email – one direct to you, and one forwarded by the mailman list, just to see

if they are identical.

73, George

Hi Members of TVARC's MailList (hosted by QSL.net @ Mailman.qth.net <http://Mailman.qth.net> ),

I am posting this on behalf of Gene King/KI4LEH (Sumter County RACES & TVARC Member). The organizers of the 2017 Citrus Tour Bicycle Fundraiser for MS need more hams to volunteer to help with communications & other duties at this fundraising event on May 6-7, 2017.

Hey Everyone,

I received the below e-mail from Gary Metro – N3OS, the Pasco County Office of Emergency Management’s RACES Officer / ARES EC; who in turn received a request for help from Mike Breese, the Coordinator for the MS Citrus Tour – 2017. They are in need of additional Amateur Radio Operators to provide communications for this great event. As with many events these days it is getting harder and harder to get enough volunteers.

This event is a two day event, May 6th and 7th, 2017 and you will be supporting the Mid-Florida Chapter of the National Multiple Sclerosis Society in their larges fundraising event of the year. They feature over 1000 cyclist on the (mostly) rural roads of Central Florida. Their start / end points are the Fantasy of Flight and the Omni at Champions Gate.

For more information please go to: http://www.citrustourorg/Citrus%20Tour%20Brochure.pdf <http://www.citrustour.org/Citrus%20Tour%20Brochure.pdf>

Volunteers assist in a number of roles, including:

*  Rest Stop Support

*  Supply Truck operator

* Mobile Rover (patrol course, in vehicle too small to transport a bike)

* SAG/Greenway (patrol course, able to transport bike/rider off course)

* Shadow (travel with MS Society officials, to provide an on-air link)

* Ride Marshal (on-air bike, patrolling course as a cyclist. This position has additional requirements, so please contact us for info. All skill levels welcome.)

*  Law Enforcement liaison

*  Logistics Support

*  And More!

If you would consider volunteering for one of these positions, please send me a reply e-mail so that I will know and then go to: http://www.citrustour.org/registrationphp <http://www.citrustour.org/registration.php> to register as a volunteer.

Thank you for your consideration in volunteering for this wonderful event that in turn helps so many people.

73,

Gene

GENE,

WOULD YOU BE SO KIND TO SHARE THIS WITH YOUR FOLKS. I JUST SENT IT OUT TO MY PASCO COUNTY GROUP. FYI, GIL IS ALREADY INVOLVED IN THIS ONE AND WILL BE SERVING AS SAG-2 SO HE CAN SHARE MORE INFO SHOULD YOU NEED INPUT FROM ANOTHER FAMILIAR PARTICIPANT.

THIS IS THE FIRST TIME THAT THEY HAVE ASKED ME TO DO THIS "SHOUT OUT" AS PARTICIPATION IS LOWER THAN NORMAL THIS YEAR. I DON'T KNOW WHAT HAS CAUSED THE "SHORTAGE" THIS YEAR. BUSY PEOPLE HAVE LOTS GOING ON AS WE ALREADY KNOW.

THANKS,

GARY

TO: Pasco RACES ARES Skywarn VOLUNTEERS

FROM: N3OS

DATE: Thu Apr 13 13:16:07 UTC 2017

Good morn'n everyone. I have been asked to ask you if you'd be willing to help with communications during the upcoming MS Citrus Tour (100 mile bike

ride) as many of the "regulars" aren't able to make it this year.

Mike Breese has informed me that they need the following:

3 each Rest Stop Ops

1 each Backup Command Post Support Op

2 each Start/Finish Line Ops (At the Omni and Fantasy of Flight

3+ Ops to ride as passenger with bike mechanics

As many as can to serve as SAG or Rover Units

This event is very worthwhile and rewarding. I've been helping in a number of capacities for a number of years now. The dates: May 6th and 7th. TJ runs a very, very efficient net and over the years her skill has helped us do a fantastic job. She is a pro and will make your experience enjoyable even if you don't have to say anything beyond your call, but odds are you will be using your skills as well.

How about it? Want to become a vital part of this event? If so, please let me know and I'll pass your email on to Mike so he can get you registered and assigned. Time is short. Please get in touch ASAP by sending me an email at n3os at arrl.net <mailto:n3os at arrl.net> being sure to not just reply to this notice as it will not get to me.

Thanking you in advance,

Gary D. Mentro, Sr. - N3OS
