Hi Members of TVARC's MailList (hosted by QSL.net @ Mailman.qth.net),
Does anybody have an emergency communications "Go-Kit" that we could put on
display at TVARC's informational booth at the upcoming "Hurricane Expo
2017" event on May 5, 2017? If so, then contact Tony Hackenberg (N8SK) at
his e-mail address of:
Anthony.W.Hackenberg at gmail.com.
When TVARC's volunteers for that event "huddled," during the social hour,
at the club meeting on March 16, 2017, we discussed ways to improve our
display to "pull more people" into our booth. A volunteer proposed that we
display a "go-kit" and our huddle attendees agreed it was an excellent
idea. Unfortunately, nobody in our huddle had a go-kit (or at least not a
nice enough one to draw people "into" our booth).
So, we are reaching out to our club membership in hopes that somebody can
loan us their go-kit to put on display at our ham club's informational
booth at Hurricane Expo 2017. This would be an ideal opportunity for
members of TVARC's Emergency Communications Team (ECT) to step forward an
offer their go-kits to display. We aren't limited to displaying just one;
indeed we could display several.
If you're not sure what's a go-kit, then check out the "*Emergency
Communications Team" (ECT) *section of our club's homepage (go to
http://www.k4vrc.com & then scroll down to this ECT section). The details
about a go-kit can be found by clicking on this section's hotlink:
