Last week I was around the Knoxville, Tennessee area visitingmy mom for the holidays. When at the airport this morning to come home I decided to give the old Motorola trunked system a listen. All I heard was fire and EMS activities and no law enforcement or other city services. I also managed to listen in on the Tennessee State P-25 trunked system, and there was an awful lot of encryption. A few months ago, when looking around on radioreference I was looking through some TGs on the state?s system, and I?m not sure about Knoxville Fire, but as for police all of the talkgroups shown were to be encrypted. From other times I?ve been down there I?ve run across encrypted coms, but nothing consistent. Does anyone know what the situation is there in Knoxville? Sent from my iPhone
