[TrunkCom] Trunkcom members, please read: Junk mail filters

We have recently started seeing reports of Ospam <http://www.0spam.com> bouncing
Trunkcom messages back to the original sender. If you consider trying out the Ospam
freeware (or any other add-on anti-spam program) junk mail filter, be carefully how
you configure it. When using the highest setting (it may default to this during
initial installation), Ospam blocks messages from Trunkcom and probably many other
email reflectors. There is nothing that Tom and I can do as Trunkcom Administrators
to work around the problem.

Since most software does not come with printed manuals these days, the only thing you
can do to insure that you have it set up correctly is by reading through the
program's help file. Rather than leaving the filter run with it's pre-configured
defaults, is would be better to use a "training" mode where you initially tell the
program what messages to block. If you are using the Mozilla
<http://www.mozilla.org>, it's email client has a built in junk mail filter which
defaults to "training mode". I have been using it since the feature was first made
available, and find it to work quite satisfactory. When I upgraded my Norton Anti
Virus program last fall, I tried it's new junk mail filter and found it to be of
lesser quality that the Mozilla filter (another benefit of Mozilla is that it is not
susceptible to some of the worms [viruses] that attack the Microsoft Address Book and
sending itself to everyone in your contact lists).
